Am I that clueless? Is my sense of reality so twisted I can't see the truth they speak? Our are they so confident that Americans are so fucking stupid they won't question what they say?

Check out Mikey Moore.

[Here we are 3 1/2 years (into the war) and we are not able to secure the road from the airport to downtown Baghdad. It's absolutely fucking ridiculous," he said, describing the war as a distraction to keep Americans scared.]

Huh? Let me guess, keep them scared so Haliburton can continue to rake in millions?

["We don't want to secure that road, because we don't want that war to end yet because we want to bring a sense of fear to Americans... It's so sad and so pathetic."]

While I like the idea of keeping fellow Americans Fearful of our enemies there is no connection to our progress in Iraq. Hell, I would like to think we could just sweep into a country and take the evil out of it. Moore seems to think that thats possible because he feels we should have already done so in Iraq. The truth is Iraq is a hard fight. On in wich we will win, if a democrat doesnt pull us out.

Then there is Senator Rockefeller -

[Rockefeller... says the world would be better off today if the United States had never invaded Iraq — even if it means Saddam Hussein would still be running Iraq. ]

Always nice to be a revisionist, a monday morning quarterback and a appeaser. Hell lets just think of the world as it would be today had we not invaded.

1. Still flying no fly zones. Still getting shot at in violation of surrender agreement.
2. Population of Iraq still be starved by Saddam as he stole from the oil for food program.
3. UN still stealing millions through kickbacks from saddam.
4. UN inspections still a joke.... How many WMD are still being found today?
5. Saddam would still be working with Syria to secret new WMD.
6. Terrorist would have a Safe haven in Iraq even if we never attacked.
7. Iraqi people would still be killed by their own regime.

Many would say that life in Iraq is hard today. That many people are still dying, and that Civil war might erupt. All true, but the people of Iraq have a chance, and a choice they can make today. To be free.

[Saddam] wasn't going to attack us. He would've been isolated there," Rockefeller said. "He would have been in control of that country but we wouldn't have depleted our resources preventing us from prosecuting a war on terror which is what this is all about." ]

How are our resources depleted so we cannot prosecute the war on terror? Where would you have out military be right now Senator? What is your solution?
